Marcela Velez is a Colombian-born, creative and brand strategist. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2009 and since then immersed herself in the Fashion and Retail Industry with jobs at international luxury fashion houses. 

 

Later in 2012 together with her business partner she created the handbag brand M2MALLETIER that quickly became one of the most recognized and “cult-find” accessories in the luxury market globally.

 

It was distributed in 79 luxury multi-brand stores worldwide including Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, its exclusive positioning strategy, innovative design and highest craftsmanship got the brand to compete with the top luxury accessory brands in the world. It was featured in premier publications such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and worn by highest rated celebrities world wide.

 

Marcela now lives in Zurich and created Studio Magnolia with the idea that with all her hands on experience and multidisciplinary roles, together with her team of international experts they can support other brands reach the success they strive for.
